Endwell, NY – Visions Federal Credit Union recently held its sixth annual 4 on the 4th Road Race at their headquarters in Endwell, NY.

The annual July 4th event welcomes in-person and virtual participants, several community partners, and the support of more than 50 volunteers. The 4-mile course takes in-person participants through the surrounding neighborhood and into nearby Highland Park before returning to the headquarters parking lot, where each runner can receive a medal and celebrate the day. Over 600 runners registered to participate, making it their largest race to date.

“We encourage feedback each year as the event continues to grow and, thanks to that feedback, we made some great changes this year,” said Kristina Albrecht, Visions’ Corporate Events Planner. “It’s not just a race, but also a fun celebration for families and participants to kick off the holiday!”

On Visions’ property, festivities included a DJ, breakfast burritos from Binghamton restaurant Iron Agave, and The Cone Connection ice cream truck. Visions also provided activities for children, free refreshments, and festive giveaways such as sunglasses and noisemakers.

The race culminated with an awards ceremony for the fastest runners, most festive outfit, and was followed by a donation to charity partners. While registering, entrants were given the opportunity to add a donation to split evenly amongst three first responder organizations that serve the Endwell community, including Endicott Auxiliary Police, Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, and Endwell Fire Department O.L. Davis Company. Visions then contributed an additional $4,500 to the charity partners. Each organization received a total donation of $1,751.66.

“This event wouldn’t be possible without them and our other generous volunteers,” said Albrecht. “For their support at this event and important work in our community, we can’t thank our first responders enough!”
